SIL Provider Cheltenham | Support That Respects Your Pace and Your Choices
Many people in Cheltenham think about moving into SIL but feel uncertain about what will actually happen. They do not know what the process looks like, what happens in week one, or whether they will feel rushed or unsupported. They want to move at their own pace and make their own choices, but they worry that a provider will push them into something before they are ready.
Hilda Care is a SIL provider in Cheltenham where we explain every step before you take it. We do not rush you. We listen to what matters to you and we move at a pace that makes sense for you. We are registered with the NDIS (Registration Number: 4050126032).

SIL Support in Cheltenham When You Want to Keep Moving Forward
Some people worry that moving into SIL means staying stuck or slowing down. They do not know how to keep working toward their goals while getting the support they need.
SIL support is there to help you move forward, not hold you back. If you have goals you want to reach, we build support around achieving those. If you want to keep learning, working, or being involved in activities, we protect that time and help you get there. Cheltenham has good transport through the Sandringham line at Cheltenham railway station. We work with your support coordinator so your SIL support helps you move forward.
Your life does not stop when you move into SIL. It keeps going with the help it needs.
Knowing Exactly What Happens Before, During and After You Move Into SIL
Some people do not know what to expect when they move into SIL. They worry about surprises or discovering things at the last minute that they did not know about. This uncertainty stops them from committing.
Before you move, we explain exactly what happens. You visit the home, you meet your support team, and you know what your first week looks like. We talk through your routine, your needs, and what support looks like on a day-to-day basis.
On move-in day, your room is ready and your team walks you through the home. In week one, we check in with you regularly. By the end of week one, you know your team, you know the routine, and you know who to call if you need something. Nothing is a surprise because we told you what would happen.

Current SIL Homes and Vacancies on the Gold Coast
Finding an available SIL room is only the beginning. The home also needs to suit the participant’s support needs, accessibility requirements, preferred living arrangement, and location. When a current property is being considered, we look at practical factors such as:
Shared or individual living needs
Accessibility requirements
Household setup
Daily support needs
Overnight assistance
Preferred location
Family connections
Regular appointments or activities

Getting Your Support Plan Right the First Time, Not Trial and Error
Some people move into SIL with a plan that sounds good but does not work in real life. They discover problems weeks later that should have been solved before they moved. They do not know how to avoid this.
Before you move, we review your NDIS plan carefully with you and your support coordinator. We talk about what your plan funds, how many hours of support you get, what that means for your life, and whether adjustments are needed. We work out whether the funding matches what you actually need.
We do not put you in a situation where you have to figure things out as you go. We get it right first.
Building Trust With Your Support Team From Day One
Some people have had bad experiences with support workers who did not follow through, did not listen, or did not show up when promised. They worry about whether they can trust a new team.
Trust is earned from day one. We keep the same team supporting you so you build a relationship and do not have to explain yourself over and over. Your workers know what to expect and what matters to you. We are reliable about showing up, doing what we say we will do, and listening to what you need.
If a worker is not reliable or does not fit, we replace them. Your support is supposed to be trustworthy. That is what we provide.

What to Expect From Your Support Workers Every Single Day
Some people do not know what to expect from support workers or whether they will actually help with what they need. They worry about having to explain constantly or having workers do things their own way instead of the way that works for the person.
Your support workers help you with the tasks you need help with. That might be personal care, meal preparation, medication management, household help, transport to appointments or activities, or overnight support depending on your plan.
Your workers learn how you like things done. If you have a routine that works for you, they follow it. If you have preferences about how tasks are done, they respect that. Every day should feel consistent and reliable because you have the same team and they know what you need.
Finding the Right Type of SIL Living for Your Situation
Some people do not know whether they want shared or independent living, or whether in-home SIL would work better. They do not know how to decide or what the differences actually are.
In a shared SIL home, you have your own private bedroom and common areas are shared with two to three other participants. The cost per person is lower because support is shared. In an independent home, you rent alone and support workers come to you. The cost is higher because all support is yours alone. In-home SIL means support comes to your current home.
Before you decide, we talk through what each option means for your life and what the costs actually are. There is no pressure to choose one way or another. The right option is the one that works for you.

Staying Safe and Well Supported in Your SIL Home
Some people worry about safety in a shared home, whether they will be protected, or whether their workers will respond if something goes wrong. They do not know what safety measures are in place.
Your SIL home is set up for safety. Your support workers know what to do if you need help. If you have specific health needs or concerns, we make sure your workers are trained and know how to support you. If you have medical appointments or health issues, we coordinate with your support coordinator so you get the care you need.
Cheltenham has local medical clinics and good access to healthcare. Your support team works with your GP and specialists to make sure your health is protected.

My experience dealing with this organisation has been very disappointing. They seem unorganised, unprofessional arrogant and downright disrespectful of peoples time.Posted on Google![]()

Hilda Care is outstanding. As a Support Coordinator, I’ve had situations where I needed a Support Worker at the very last minute for my cleints, and they delivered without hesitation. Not once or twice but always. They found the right person within hours and made sure the client felt safe and supported. They have paid heed to client’s feedback and tweaked their services accordingly everytime. Their staff are well trained, reliable, and always go above and beyond to meet client needs. It’s clear they genuinely put clients first. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()
