Does Hilda Care offer Psychosocial Disability Support?

What NDIS services does Hilda Care NOT offer?
To maintain clear separation from service delivery regarding conflicts of interest, Hilda Care does not provide plan management or support coordination. Hilda Care also does not provide allied health therapy directly, we coordinate with external OTs, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, and psychologists.

Self-referrals, family referrals, support coordinator referrals, hospital social work referrals, and LAC referrals are all accepted.

Is Hilda Care available 24/7?
Hilda Care office hours for new referrals and inquiries are 9 am-6 pm Monday to Friday, plus on-call urgent intake for hospital transitions. SIL and SDA services operate 24/7 for existing participants, and support workers are on-site or on-call at all times in supported housing. Call 1300 440 777 for after-hours urgent matters.
How quickly can Hilda Care start supporting a new participant?
Hilda Care offers same-day intake for new referrals. A coordinator will respond and begin the matching process the same day for urgent cases such as hospital discharge, a participant displaced from another provider, or a crisis situation. Standard intake completion (paperwork, support worker matching, service agreement) typically takes 3-5 business days.
Does Hilda Care accept plan-managed and self-managed participants?
Yes. Hilda Care accepts NDIS plan-managed, self-managed, and NDIA-managed participants. Invoicing is handled according to each participant’s funding management type. For plan-managed participants, we liaise directly with the plan manager for invoice approval, and for self-managed participants, invoices are sent directly to the participant or nominated payee.
What is NDIS registration group 0138, and is Hilda Care ready for it?
Registration group 0138 (Assistance with Supported Independent Living) is a new NDIS registration group that takes effect on 1 July 2026, alongside new SIL-specific Practice Standards. Existing registered SIL providers are transitioned to 0138 automatically by the NDIS Commission. Hilda Care is an existing registered SIL provider and will transition to participants with no interruption.
What does the 1 July 2026 NDIS SIL framework mean for participants?
From 1 July 2026, mandatory registration and new SIL Practice Standards apply to Supported Independent Living. Existing registered SIL providers, including Hilda Care, transition automatically to the new 0138 registration group, and unregistered providers delivering SIL must apply for registration by 1 October 2026 to continue during the transition. For Hilda Care participants, there are no changes or service interruptions.
Can Hilda Care help me access the NDIS?
Hilda Care does not provide NDIS Access support directly, that is typically handled by Support Coordinators or Local Area Coordinators (LACs). However, Hilda Care can connect new participants with independent Support Coordinators who can assist with access, maintaining conflict-of-interest separation between service delivery and support coordination.
