SIL Provider Frankston | Stay Close to Family and Your Routine in a SIL Home That Fits Your Plan
Waiting on SIL funding or a vacancy can leave a participant and their family unsure what happens next, and that uncertainty is hard to live with. Hilda Care keeps you and your support coordinator informed at each stage of finding a SIL provider in Frankston. We tell you what is confirmed and what is still pending, so you can plan around it rather than wait on news.

Keeping Your Weekly Routines in Frankston With SIL Support That Works Around Them
Moving into SIL can mean losing the routines that made life feel normal, such as a weekly sport session, a church service or a catch-up with friends. Support that starts at the same fixed time every day can make those things harder to keep. We plan your support around the activities that matter to you. If a change to your roster is needed, we talk with you and your support coordinator first.
Choosing Between an Independent SIL Home and a Shared One Once You Know Your Goals
Many participants feel pushed toward a shared home because it is the only option they hear about, or they assume independent living is out of reach. Choosing the wrong setting can make daily life harder. We start with your goals and support needs, then look at which setting suits you. Both independent and shared homes are options, and the choice is yours within what your plan funds.

Your Own Language Matters in SIL Care, From Italian and Turkish to Filipino, Macedonian and Portuguese
When a support worker and a participant do not share a language, it is harder to explain needs, follow instructions and feel comfortable at home. We support participants in English, Italian, Turkish, Filipino, Macedonian and Portuguese. Our support workers include multilingual staff, and where we can, we match you with a worker who speaks your language.
Getting Out Across Frankston and the Peninsula With a SIL Worker Beside You
Many participants want to be part of their community, but they rely on one person for a lift or a companion, so plans fall through when that person is unavailable. Your support worker helps you get out across Frankston and the Peninsula. We offer transport as part of your support, arranged according to your plan. Where needed, we plan a second option so a missed lift does not cancel your plans.

Your Frankston SIL Home and the Support Around It
Choosing a home is a big decision, and a description alone rarely tells you how it will feel day to day. We can talk you through the home, what it includes and how support works there before you decide.

Building Everyday Skills Toward Your Plan Goals, Shaped by SIL Workers Who Know You
Support that does everything for you can slowly take away skills you want to keep, and it is hard to know when to step back. Our workers build skills toward the goals in your plan. They step back where it is safe and prompt you instead of doing every task. We review progress with you and your support coordinator, so you can see what is changing.
How Our SIL Team Keeps Far-Away Family Updated
When family live interstate or overseas, they often worry they will only hear about a problem after it has happened. With your permission, we keep your family updated on important changes, such as health, appointments or a change in support. You choose who receives updates and what they receive.

Paperwork Sorted With Your Coordinator, So Your SIL Move Is Not Delayed
Paperwork delays can hold up a move, and it is often unclear which form, plan detail or coordinator task is still missing. We check what is needed with your support coordinator at the start, so the SIL arrangement is ready to confirm. We tell you and your coordinator what is outstanding at each step.
Keeping Your Appointments and Daily Health Routines on Track With SIL Support
Keeping track of appointments and daily health routines is hard when there are several providers and a busy week. Our support workers help you get to appointments and keep your daily routines on track, following the arrangements you agree with your support coordinator and health providers.

My experience dealing with this organisation has been very disappointing. They seem unorganised, unprofessional arrogant and downright disrespectful of peoples time.Posted on Google![]()

Hilda Care is outstanding. As a Support Coordinator, I’ve had situations where I needed a Support Worker at the very last minute for my cleints, and they delivered without hesitation. Not once or twice but always. They found the right person within hours and made sure the client felt safe and supported. They have paid heed to client’s feedback and tweaked their services accordingly everytime. Their staff are well trained, reliable, and always go above and beyond to meet client needs. It’s clear they genuinely put clients first. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

Questions Frankston Families Ask About Language, Location and SIL Hours
Do you support participants in languages other than English?
Yes. We support participants in English, Italian, Turkish, Filipino, Macedonian and Portuguese, and our support workers include multilingual staff.
Can I choose between an independent home and a shared one?
Yes. The choice depends on your goals and support needs, and it sits within what your plan funds.
Where are your Frankston homes?
We have homes across Frankston, and each one is in a different location. Each home’s proximity to the station, the hospital and the waterfront depends on the specific property, so we tell you those details for the home you are considering.
What support hours do you offer?
Support is available 24/7 in our SIL homes, with active night support or sleepover arrangements depending on your needs. [CONFIRM: day support hours.]
Can I stay close to Frankston Hospital if I need regular medical appointments?
Yes. When we talk through home options with you, we take your medical appointments and health providers into account. If being close to Frankston Hospital matters for your routine, tell us and we will factor that into which home we discuss with you.
What happens if my support worker is sick or unavailable?
We have backup staff so your support is not cancelled when a worker is unavailable. Your routine stays in place as much as possible, and we let you know about any change before the shift rather than on the day.
Can family members visit me at the Frankston SIL home?
Yes. Your home is your home and family are welcome to visit. We ask that visits are arranged around the household’s routines and the needs of other housemates where it is a shared home. There are no visiting hour restrictions.
How do I know if my NDIS plan includes enough funding for SIL in Frankston?
Your support coordinator can check your plan and tell you whether SIL is funded and at what level. If you are not sure who to ask, call us on 1300 440 777 and we can point you in the right direction. You can also read our SIL funding eligibility guide for more detail on how the NDIA assesses SIL.
