SIL Provider Epping | Support That Grows With Your Needs
People in Epping are building their own lives. Some are just starting out with SIL. Some have been thinking about it but do not know what they actually need. Some have tried other approaches and now want something different. They worry that once they commit to SIL, they will get locked into a plan that does not fit them or that a provider will expect them to have all the answers before they even start.
Hilda Care is a SIL provider in Epping where we meet you where you are. If you are just exploring, we explore with you. If you are unsure, we help you figure it out. Your needs can grow and change and we grow with you. We are registered with the NDIS (Registration Number: 4050126032).

SIL Support in Epping for People Building Their Own Path
Some people in Epping have their own goals and their own way of doing things. They worry that SIL support will try to change how they live or will have rigid rules they have to follow.
Your life stays yours. SIL support is there to help you build the path you want, not change you into something else. If you have goals, we help you work toward them. If you have a routine that works for you, we support that. If you want to do things your own way, we work with that. Epping has good transport through the Craigieburn line at Epping railway station. We coordinate with your support coordinator so your SIL support helps you stay on your path.
Support is there to help you, not to control you.
Starting SIL When You Are Not Sure What You Need Yet
Some people are interested in SIL but do not know exactly what they need. They worry that they have to figure everything out before they can start or that a provider will judge them for not knowing.
You do not have to have everything figured out. Many people do not. Before you move into SIL, we talk through what your life looks like now, what is not working, and what you think might help. We explore together what SIL could mean for you. We look at your NDIS plan and talk through what options exist.
By the time you move, you will have a clearer picture. But you do not have to have it all figured out from day one.

Making Changes to Your Support Without Starting From Zero
Some people are in SIL or considering it but worry that if they need something different, they will have to start completely over or switch providers. They do not know how to adjust without disruption.
You can make changes to your support without starting from zero. If you realize you need more help in one area, we adjust. If your circumstances change, we work with you and your support coordinator to adapt. If you want to try a different living arrangement, we can explore that.
Changes do not mean starting over. They mean adjusting what is already working.
What Happens When a Support Worker Is Not the Right Fit
Some people have had support workers who did not work out. They do not know whether they can ask for someone different or whether they are stuck with whoever is assigned.
If a support worker is not the right fit, contact us. We listen to what is not working. We can arrange for a different worker. Your support should feel right. If it does not, we fix it.
You are not stuck with someone who does not work for you. We take that seriously.

Keeping Your Routines Stable While Living in SIL
Some people worry that moving into SIL will disrupt everything they have built. They worry about losing their routines, their patterns, or the things that help them feel stable.
Your routines stay. If you have a routine that works for you, we do not change it. Your support workers learn your routine and they support it. If you like to do things a certain way, they learn that too. Consistency in your daily life matters and we protect it.
Moving into SIL does not mean your life gets turned upside down. It means your life gets the support it needs to keep going.
How Long Does It Really Take to Get Into SIL Once You Decide
Some people want SIL but worry they will have to wait months. They do not know what a realistic timeline actually is or whether waiting is normal.
Once your SIL funding is confirmed in your NDIS plan, we can usually get you started within 14 days. We do not keep people on long waiting lists. We work with you and your support coordinator to prepare everything so when it is time to move, support is ready to start.
You do not have to wait months wondering when things will happen. Once your funding is ready, we move.

Finding Out if SIL is Actually Right for Your Situation
Some people are not sure whether SIL is right for them. They wonder whether they should try it or whether their situation is too different or complicated for SIL to work.
SIL is right for you when you need daily support and you want to move into your own or shared living. It is right when your current situation is not working anymore. It is right when you have SIL funding in your NDIS plan and you are ready to use it.
There is no one right time for everyone. Only you know whether you are ready. We can help you think it through, but you make the decision.
Questions Epping Families Ask About SIL
Do you have homes in Epping itself or do people have to move somewhere else?
We have SIL homes available in Epping and nearby areas. We also have homes in Greensborough and Wollert which are close by. Depending on what is available and what suits your situation, your home might be in Epping or one of these nearby areas. We discuss your preferences with you.
I work in the city and use the Craigieburn line from Epping station. Can I keep my job if I move into SIL?
Yes. Your SIL support is built around your work schedule. We protect your work hours. Epping railway station is on the Craigieburn line which connects to the city. Transport to work is part of what we provide. Your job stays protected.
I like going to Pacific Epping for shopping. Will I be able to keep doing that with SIL support?
Yes. Those are part of your life in Epping. Your support workers help you keep doing the things you enjoy. Transport to Pacific Epping or other places you want to go is part of what we provide.
What if I need to see a doctor or go to the hospital?
Transport to your GP, specialists, or hospital is part of your SIL support. Epping has Epping Family Doctors and other medical clinics locally. For more serious needs, the Northern Hospital is in Epping. Your support worker helps you get where you need to go.
I am not sure whether SIL is right for me yet. Can we explore it without committing?
Yes. There is no pressure. You can contact us to ask questions and learn about SIL. We can talk through whether it might work for your situation. When you are ready to move forward, we move. When you are not, that is okay too.
Do support workers stay the same or keep changing?
We aim to keep a consistent team supporting you. You work with the same workers regularly so you build trust. When shifts need covering, we use workers who already know you. Consistency matters.
What if I want to try shared living but later want to live alone?
You can make that change. If shared living works for a time and then you want independent living, we can help with that transition. You are not locked into one living arrangement forever.
I have lived the same way my whole life. Will SIL work for me?
SIL is built around how you live, not around forcing you to change. If you have a routine that works, if you have a way of doing things that fits you, we build support around that. You do not have to change who you are to move into SIL.

My experience dealing with this organisation has been very disappointing. They seem unorganised, unprofessional arrogant and downright disrespectful of peoples time.Posted on Google![]()

Hilda Care is outstanding. As a Support Coordinator, I’ve had situations where I needed a Support Worker at the very last minute for my cleints, and they delivered without hesitation. Not once or twice but always. They found the right person within hours and made sure the client felt safe and supported. They have paid heed to client’s feedback and tweaked their services accordingly everytime. Their staff are well trained, reliable, and always go above and beyond to meet client needs. It’s clear they genuinely put clients first. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()
