Hilda Care

⚠ NDIS rule change — 1 July 2026: All SIL providers must be registered or in the registration pathway. If your provider isn't, talk to us.

You deserve a SIL provider who actually listens to you.

Hilda has been supporting people with disability across Melbourne Since 2018. We’re fully registered with the NDIS Commission and if you need to switch, we’ll make it simple. Nothing about your care gets decided without you.

No commitment. No pressure. Just an honest conversation.

You might be thinking

We get it switching feels like a big deal.

Here are the things people usually worry about, and what actually happens.

Will my support stop during the switch?

No. We don’t start until your current support has a handover plan in place. No gaps.

Do I have to move house?

Not necessarily. Switching SIL provider doesn’t always mean moving. We’ll work with your situation.

What about all the paperwork?

We handle it. You tell us what you need we deal with the agreements and notices.

Will my NDIS funding change?

No. Your SIL budget stays exactly the same. It just comes to us instead of your old provider.

What if I share a home with others?

We can talk through how this works for your specific arrangement it’s not always as complicated as people think.

How do I know if my provider is registered?

Check the NDIS Commission’s public register — or just ask us and we’ll help you find out.

Common questions

Straight answers before you decide.

Does Hilda service my area?

We operate across Melbourne and its suburbs. The best way to check is to give us a call or send a quick enquiry — we’ll tell you straight away.

How long does switching usually take?

It depends on your notice period usually 2 to 4 weeks and how quickly paperwork moves. In most cases we can complete a smooth transition within 4 to 6 weeks of your first call with us.

What if my current provider pushes back?

Switching providers is your legal right under the NDIS. You don’t need their permission — just their cooperation on handover. We help navigate that conversation for you.

I'm a support coordinator. Can I refer clients directly?

Absolutely. Call or email us directly and we’ll work with you on the transition. We aim to be a provider you can count on — responsive, compliant, and easy to work with.

What if I try Hilda and it's not right for me?

That’s a fair question and we respect it. The NDIS gives you choice and control that includes the right to switch again if you need to. We’d rather you tell us something’s not working than quietly put up with it.

What if I'm in a shared house do the other residents need to agree?

For shared SIL arrangements, all residents ideally need to be on board for a full provider switch. But we can talk through your specific situation and work out what’s possible on a call.
